Happy Progressive 2008!

Just wanted to say Happy Progressive 2008 to the readers of this blog! I have some new ideas about how my blog here and my writings at www.aip.nu could be linked and developed, but more about that in 2008.

Until then, here’s my summary of international politics and elections in 2007 [written before the tragic assassination of Benazir Bhutto].

Take care and watch out for progressive election victories in Spain (March 9th), the US (November 4th) and elsewhere in 2008. See y’all here next year!

Talking about Bruce on the radio

Bruce Springsteen is about to come to town (Monday) and as always in Sweden, this is a big piece of news. Today, our best and most serious radio channel (P1) devotes a whole program (”Kulturfredag”) to Bruce. I was interview for the program and talked mostly about Bruce as an increasingly political artist.

At www.aip.nu you will find my take on Springsteen and politics (is he really a social democrat?!), and you can listen to ”Kulturfredag” here (starts at 18:15 today Friday).

Enjoy!
