I'm your PES-blogger of the week!
Y'all,
Please note that I have the honor to be the PES-blogger of the week at the YourSpace Manifesto 2009-site that the PES is running.
My first blog post is a Per Wirtén-inspired take on why the Party of European Socialists is so important. Read it here.

Democratise, politicise... As much a call for arms for our mother parties as it is for "cross party" pro-European movements. The PES has realised the critical role it can play on the European political scene, in an age where local communities feel the impact of globalisation (for better or worse) on a daily basis. Beyond being the home for MEPs, it is now opening the doors to grassroots activists and giving them a voice to tell the story of the social Europe they are looking for. We have great hope that we can make the European elections and MEPs exciting again to the general public with the manifesto process.
