Copenhagen – perfect for a bachelor’s party!
I spent the weekend in Copenhagen (and not Björkvik!!!) partying away thanks to a fantastic bachelor’s party for my dear dear friend Andreas. I better not write about all the details but in general the set-up was brilliant: cheap flight to Copenhagen, Gammeldansk for breakfast, go-cart, drinks-only pick-nick in Christiania, fantastic night at the night club Sevillia, brunch next to Parken (football stadium) the day after and before flying home we also watched FC Copenhagen (FCK) play a draw (1-1) against AGF from Århus.
AGF got one man sent off and during the second half FCK played positive soccer with some players we recognize from Sweden: Alvaro Santos and Peter Ijeh on top, and Marcus Allbäck playing right behind them almost as a third striker. Tobias Linderoth played defensive midfield as always. Ijeh was by far the best, even though he only played the second half, and he was also the one scoring the goal. FCK had loads of chances and they should have settled the game but the punishment was hard as AGF scored an equalizer with a very late goal (more or less their only shot on goal). If you like to get away for a weekend and combine partying and soccer, Copenhagen is a very good alternative and the soccer is better than in Sweden. Later in September FCK will play Bröndby so book your Skyways tickets soon.
Also, during some hours of lazy-google-surfing I found out that one of my favorite songs, “Tom Traubert’s blues” by Tom Waits, is supposed to be set in Copenhagen. As I left the US in order to move home to Sweden and work for the SAP, I listened to this song and the line “I’ve lost my St. Christopher, now that I’ve kissed her” one time too many with my Icelandic room-mate Örn (that metaphor should be quite easy to understand). A fantastic song with amazing lyrics, probably set in the wonderful city of Copenhagen. (PS Thanks for organizing everything Tomas and Rickard, and you know I am looking forward to your wedding Andreas).

Hej Eric
Godt at se, København tog godt imod jer.
Tak for sidst i Portugal, forøvrigt...
