Philip gets the Prize?

Since there is such a buzz about Philip Roth, at least in Sweden, I guess he won’t receive the Nobel Prize in literature today. He is one of my favorite authors so now when you have heard so many great things about him, go ahead and start reading boos like ”The plot against American” and ”American Pastoral”.

And if he doesn’t get the Prize, why not give it to Richard Ford? But given the gender history of the Prize, it is time for a woman. According to a colleague at the paper who reads a lot (Bengt C), we should then watch out for Herta Müller.

In a few hours we will know that I got it all wrong…
